Raptors Up Close: Biology, Behavior & Falconry
Join the International Raptor & Falconry Center for an engaging, family-friendly raptor program featuring 2–3 live birds of prey from our flying team. These informal, interactive presentations explore raptor biology, ecology, and behavior, while introducing audiences to the ancient practice of falconry and its role in modern raptor conservation.
Designed with kids in mind but enjoyed by adults of all ages, each program blends science, storytelling, and open conversation. Guests will learn how birds of prey are adapted for flight and hunting, how they fit into local ecosystems, and the individual stories of the birds themselves — from how they came to IRFC to what makes each one unique.
Programs encourage questions and discussion throughout, creating a relaxed, hands-on learning environment that invites curiosity, connection, and a deeper appreciation for these remarkable animals.
