Pioneer Museum's Open House

  • Pioneer Museum Flagstaff 2340 North Fort Valley Road Flagstaff, Arizona, 86001 United States (map)

Celebrate science and Arizona’s natural heritage during the Pioneer Museum’s Flagstaff Festival of Science open house. The International Raptor & Falconry Center will be on site for an informal two-hour meet-and-greet featuring Moira, a Bald Eagle; Druantia, a Turkey Vulture; and Avalina, a Barn Owl.

Visitors can stop by to meet the birds, ask questions and learn how these species connect to Arizona’s landscapes, ecosystems and human history. From the Bald Eagle’s iconic role in American culture to the Turkey Vulture’s essential work as nature’s cleanup crew and the Barn Owl’s long relationship with farms, barns and open country, this event offers a closer look at the wildlife that has always shared the landscape with people.
